Style Lab Makeover

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 17, 2009 – Today, Ubisoft announced that two games from the brand new Style Lab(TM) series are now available on store shelves in North America. Building upon Ubisoft's leadership on the Nintendo DS(TM) system, the Style Lab games are developed specifically to take advantage of the Nintendo DSi(TM) Camera and wireless Internet connection for players to upload and share their in-game creations online. Each Style Lab game focuses on allowing tweens to virtually create their own style – from designing jewelry to exploring new hairstyles, looks and more. Style Lab Jewelry Design and Style Lab Makeover are rated E for Everyone; each game has an MSRP of $29.99.

Style Lab Jewelry Design allows girls to design a variety of jewelry pieces using a range of gorgeous colored beads and charms. Using the stylus, girls can create earrings, necklaces, bracelets, cell-phone charms and bookmarks. Players can upload their unique in-game creations on UbiWorld (www.ubiworld.com), Ubisoft's online destination site that is integrated with Style Lab Jewelry Design's game functionalities. Using the Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection, girls can upload their created necklaces, earrings and bracelets inside the Style Lab Jewelry Design Boutique. Once the final design is uploaded, players have the option to purchase their own creation through www.artbeads.com where the actual piece will be delivered to their home and can be worn in real life.

In Style Lab Makeover, players become part of the game using the Nintendo DSi Camera to create an in-game avatar of their face. Once their image is created in the game, players can experiment and create different identities with different hair and makeup styles on their own image. Players can also share their new makeover look with their friends using the local wireless connection. Players will also discover their own unique style with personality tests and in-game expert recommendations, and then unleash their creativity in Free Mode to let their imagination run wild.

Tween girls can further explore the Style Lab games on UbiWorld's Style Lab Island and join Style Squad, an elite group of trendsetting girls. Girls who join the exclusive club will be awarded with additional "members only” beauty tips and secret in-game codes that unlock hidden items in the Style Lab games. In addition, they will receive monthly newsletters full of information on creative make-up looks to try in Style Lab Makeover or new charms to unlock in Style Lab Jewelry Design.

Wow, that is really cool. I've never heard about it before. Could you please clear it out a bit to me? As far as I've understood, it is possible to create a girl in the game who looks like you, has the same hair-do, wears the jewelry you like, etc., isn't it? Then that is awesome. I don't like playing computer games, but now, I believe, I am going to like:)
