The Nintendo DS has reached a critical juncture in its lifespan – the cash cow years. After serving as Nintendo’s premiere handheld throughout the latter half of the 00’s, the venerable DS has now been replaced by the 3DS. If you’ve followed the game industry for any length of time you surely know what’s coming next – price drops, a few gimmicks and bundles to move units, and lots of shovelware and budget releases to entice casual gamers. Zuma’s Revenge is certainly both a budget release and a game aimed squarely at casual gamers, but lacks the quality of a title like Bejeweled 3 to earn a serious look from most.
