An eager few may be reaping the benefits of impatience.
Reports are rampant all across the Internet that some gamers have been getting their hands on a Nintendo DS Lite early. Apparently some major retailers, like Target and Wal-Mart, have already received their stock of the handheld and don’t have any qualms about selling them now, close to two weeks before they are supposed to. While this is still a rumor (and, accordingly, you should take it with the usual grain of salt), even if it proves true it doesn’t mean every branch of these retailers, so you may want to call before you go running over.
The DS Lite, as you probably know, is a slimmer redesign of Nintendo’s original DS system. It is 42% smaller, 21% lighter and features four different brightness settings. The DS Lite will retail for $129.99 when it officially goes on sale on June 11th.
